One of the biggest questions we have had as a company is “How can all our artists benefit, not just the winners?”. This has been on our mind since we started and has poised a positive challenge.
We constantly ask: How can we do more? What opportunities can we provide designers? Who can we partner with to promote our designers and site? How can we help our designers make more money?
Each time we ask this we come up with something new, so we are launching ”support independent artists“ as a campaign to make sure this message is clear.
Here is an example of our new promo cards and this message will be on the header of our new home page we are launching later this week.

Here are some other ideas we are implementing:
- A focused retail effort – Material in North Park, San Diego stocked last week
- Custom compeititions with 3rd parties and organizations
- Zazzle storefronts for custom competitions so more designers can win
- A facebook app to share designs
- A showroom at the Collar Free office to increase royalties
- Direct sales at events like concerts, trade shows, and fashion events
- Partnering with cool bands and musicians who want to wear Collar Free
